Whew! I’m still recovering from the marathon of Kim & Mike’s wedding! It was a family, love, and celebration-filled day–and thankfully not rain-filled. (Although it called for 100% chance of rain up to 10mm. When will I learn to NEVER, EVER trust Environment Canada?) Starting the day with the girls at the hotel, it was obvious that everyone was full of anticipation as they laced up 7 bridesmaids dresses and one satiny, flowing wedding dress.
And, as a first for the event planners at Charmed Events, the bride arrived earlier than most of the guests! Once everyone was seated, the lively ceremony swept everyone off their feet as Mike & Kim said tearful and laughing “I do’s”.
A beautiful and relaxing trip to Parkwood Estate and Gardens in Oshawa provided the backdrop for the wedding party photos, and with a watchful eye on the sky we managed to tempt fate once again and escaped Parkwood without feeling a drop!
Finally the day ended at Crystal Fountain Hall in Markham as the bride and groom entered triumphantly and walked into their first, and beautifully choreographed, dance together.
Many years were spent waiting for this day by everyone, and especially by Mike & Kim. Congratulations you two! Your wait is over–now you get to enjoy each other for many many more years. It has been nothing but a pleasure working with you and your families and I hope we can connect again in the future!
